Can I Request For An Early Check-In Or Late Check-Out?

Early check-ins and late check-outs are based on availability and while we will do our best to accommodate it, they are not guaranteed.  If you would like to request an early check-in please contact our team at (855) 748-6747  For late check-outs, please see one of our front desk team members. If you arrive before your room is ready, we will be happy to store your luggage so you can begin exploring town or enjoying our onsite amenities.

During the peak summer months, our Front Desk is available 24 hours a day. Throughout the off-peak seasons, we shift to a modified service schedule. For the most up-to-date hours during your stay, please check your pre-arrival messaging.

Breakfast is not included in the room rate.  Guests are welcome to enjoy fresh complimentary coffee in our lobby every morning from 7am -11am. Specialty coffee and grab-n-go options are available at Cafe by the STRAND at the WHEAT store, located in the building next door. Open daily.

Can a Pack-n-Play Or Crib Be Supplied In My Room If I Am Traveling With An Infant?

Original ‘Kelly House’ dates back to 1742, served as a vital hub for sea captains and travelers during Edgartown’s peak whaling days. The property is a complex of buildings, including Mizzentop, and Chappy houses, located steps from the harbor and the Chappy ferry.

We are centrally located in Edgartown and recommend guests avoid bringing a car if possible. We do have limited parking available onsite without a charge. We also have a secondary parking lot (20 Winter Street) that is within walking distance from hotel.

Reservations open 7 Days in advance. Please visit The Pelican Club to book with us.

Change of plans? We ask to please cancel 24-hours prior.  Due to high volume, failing to do so will prompt a $50 per person charge for no-show reservations.

What Is The Hotel's Pet Policy?

Pets are welcome in our select pet-friendly rooms.  Fee is $100 fee per night in the off-season and $150 per night from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  Limit of 1 pet per room and guests will be required to sign a waiver at check-in.  Reservations for pets must be made in advance - please contact the hotel to let our team know your furry friend will be joining you.

Is Smoking Allowed In The Rooms, Or On Hotel Premises?

Our hotel is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is not permitted in guestrooms or on the hotel premises. Should there be evidence of smoking in your guest room, a $250 fee will be incurred.

Do I Need A Credit Card To Check In, And Does The Hotel Require A Hold To Guarantee Incidental Charges?

-A valid credit card will be required upon check-in.

-A pre-authorization hold of $200 for the duration of the stay is taken at the time of check-in to guarantee any incidental charges. Any unused portion of this hold will be voided and released upon check-out and may take up to 3-10 business days for funds to be restored (ie. will not appear as a refund), depending on your financial institution.

What Is The Hotel's Cancellation Policy?

We offer a clear, tiered approach to cancellations to provide certainty when planning your retreat.

Outside 30 Days: If you cancel your booking 30 days or more prior to your scheduled arrival date, your full deposit will be returned to you.

Within 30 Days: Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival result in the forfeiture of the entire deposit.
Reservations made within 30 days of arrival are considered non-refundable.

To make a reservation, please visit Faraway Hotels. Simply select your island destination, find room type and rate options by entering your Arrival and Departure dates, and clicking 'Book a Room'.

Please keep in mind, booking directly lends you the best available rate and our ability to better assist with any modifications or special requests.

To modify or cancel an existing reservation that was made directly on the hotel website:

Visit Faraway Hotels, select your island destination, and click 'Book' in the top-right corner of the page. In the panel pop-up on the upper left-hand side, find your existing booking by entering your itinerary, confirmation, and/or item numbers found in your email confirmation OR enter your email address by clicking 'My Bookings'.
Modify your booking as required by clicking 'Edit Dates', 'Edit Room', or 'Cancel Booking'.
Follow the prompts as displayed to submit the change or confirm cancellation.
